HOW DOES
IT WORK?
The therapist
uses a micro needling pen and a white serum with foundation in it to provide
you with instant sheer coverage, reducing the appearance of pores, and smooths
fine lines and wrinkles. The serum contains hyaluronic acid to make your skin
more radiant and plumper and vitamin C to treat freckles and hyperpigmentation.
The serum
also treats your skin from the inside. The therapist uses a micro needling pen
to penetrate the foundation into the skin. The micro needling pen roll tiny
needles over the skin which cause trauma, forcing the body to go into its
natural repair mode, increasing the collagen and elastin production. The
therapist can adjust the speed and length of the needles, according to the area
being treated.
TREATMENT
TIME
BB glow takes
about 1 hour, including skin preparation time. You will see instant results
after the first session, but you may require 4 sessions with 2-week intervals
for long lasting effective results. You can visit the therapist for maintenance
treatment every 4 to 5 months.
WHAT TO
EXPECT
After your
consultation, we will use a custom cleanser based on your skin type to deep
cleanse your skin to remove oil and debris. You will then be given a gentle
exfoliation treatment to remove excess skin, peach fuzz and alike. Then we will
apply a whitening serum to neutralise your skin and re-establish your skin’s
optimal pH, reduce redness, and hydrate your skin. We will also apply a custom
booster serum based on your skin requirements and use the micro needling pen to
increase the effects of the treatment. We will choose a BB glow serum, based on
your desired shade, and infuse it into your skin using the micro needling
pen. After that we will apply a mask
over the BB glow serum to prevent your skin from drying out as well as to
hydrate your skin.
An LED mask
will then be applied to assist in the absorption of products and achieving
better results. Finally, a peptide repair cream will be massaged into the face
to restore and soothe your treated skin.
DOWN TIME
There is no
downtime, and you can resume your normal activities. You may experience
temporary tightness, redness, or irritation after the treatment.
AFTERCARE
ADVICE
After the
treatment, you will be unable to wash the face for 24 hours.
Aftercare
tips include:
• Avoid wearing makeup for 3 days
• Avoid sunbathing, including sunbeds
• Avoid using any scented skincare
products
• Avoid saunas, hot tubs, hot showers
and baths, and hairdryers for 48 hours (shower and bathe with room temperature
water and use a hairdryer on medium to low setting)
• Avoid swimming for 7 days
• Avoid washing your face for 24
hours
• Avoid eating spicy food and seafood
for 3 days
• Avoid using retinol products and
vitamin C for 8 weeks
Remember to
wear a moisturising cream with an SPF 30 or higher.
